Amazon's new Vancouver office taking shape at old Canada Post building

As the saying goes: what goes down must come up, and this is now very apparent for the redevelopment of the old Canada Post building in downtown Vancouver.

Construction crews are now building the new office tower floor plates of the south tower on top of the podium of the 1958-built heritage structure, marking a major milestone for the project.

The interior of the podium has also been rebuilt with both the new floor plates and the supporting structures required for both the new north and south towers. At ground level along the southern edge facing West Georgia Street, the building’s first glass walls have been installed.

And over on the eastern edge facing Hamilton Street, the new concrete circling ramp structure for parkade access within the underground levels and core of the podium is now complete.
