Why does ‘Digit’ have bird legs?

Digit is a human-centric robot. Which means it's designed to get work done in our different types of spaces, working right alongside us. After 20 years of bipedal locomotion research and studying how people and animals walk, Digit has been designed with legs that excel at dynamic stability.

Agility’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Jonathan Hurst shares insight into why Digit's legs are designed the way they are and most importantly how that design allows Digit to do many different tasks.
